Those who know me know that I have struggled and I mean struggled with wearing my natural hair out. I have been wearing weaves and wigs because I don't do "Fros" and I haven't been able to come up with a style that I like that didn't make me look like Alfalfa from The Rascals. Well no more, I found these products on sale on Facebook called Entwine and after using them. I am in love. It gives me the best twist outs ever. ever...ever.

I purchased the Raw Vegan Argan Oil, the Exotic Butter Creme, the Creme Jelle Styler and the Creme de la Mold. They were on sale for $10.00 each whereas regular price is $16.99 to $29.99. I've been hearing about this Lady name Adele. Everybody has been raving about her CD but I've really never been interested in her but since I keep hearing people talk about how good her CD is, I downloaded it last night and although I'm not interested in the entire CD, there were a couple songs that blew me away.

This is one of em. It's called Do You Remember? Almost brought me to tears. I could feel the emotion of this song and her voice gives it so much depth and life and feeling. I'm a fan. Enjoy....

Bullying MUST BE STOPPED!!!!

I can't stand a liar or a thief but another thing I also can't stand is a Bully. Bullies are Punks. Why pick on someone just because they are different than you? What do you get out of that? Bullying comes in all forms and not only do kids do it but adults too. This video made me bust out in tears seeing this little boys pain. All he wants is to live his life just like everybody else but he's getting picked on by other kids in school. Do they think they are better than him? How would they feel if they were singled out and picked on? I mean 1 person is bad enough but then I'm sure they all gang up on him and just start throwing the insults his way. I can't condone this behavior from anyone. Anyone!

I've been very vocal to my kids about picking on people. It's not cool! My youngest son is dark skinned and over the years he has been talked about for being SO DARK as they call it. He has said to me before that he wished he was lighter. I had a long talk with him about his skin color and explained to him that there is nothing wrong with being darkskinned. I also made sure to tell him to never pick on someone for whatever reason.

Before I do anything to anyone and treat them a certain way, I always say to myself....How would I feel if someone did that to me? And that's what keeps me not taking parts in situations such as these. So you do the same. Before you decide to gang up on someone and talk about them or pick on them, say to yourself. How would YOU feel if someone did that to you?

Hello All, I have grown sick and tired of wigs. Sick AND Tired! If I don't figure out a natural hairstyle that I can create and maintain myself soon I'm gonna scream. So here's pictures and video below of me attempting this once again.....

Me and relaxers don't get along well. My hair is soooo much more healthy now than it ever was before so for that I am grateful.

Pentatonix Won The Sing Off!!!!

Okay So I'm a few days Later and a Dollar Short but I'm here....

I actually found out BEFORE I got a chance to watch the show that they had won. Damn Social Media. People tell everything. I always watch the show the next day at work and blog about it as I'm watching it. I finally watched it yesterday but forgot to blog at the same time so I won't give a blow by blow this time.

Doesn't really matter at this point because Pentatonix Won and I'm happy about it. They are who I wanted to win anyway. America got it right for once. I was happy to see Afroblue back on the show and performing. Apparently their fans made such a big uproar about them being voted off that NBC asked them to come back and perform with Smokey Robinson. What an honor that was for them I'm sure. It's great to know that people still have power if they just open their mouths.

I'm sure the future is just as bright for Afroblue anyway without the win. Pentatonix really deserved it and I was happy for them. They seem to really love each other and love what they do and they are damn good at it anyway. I will be getting their CD. I know it will be really good. I have a slight like for the lead singer of Pentatonix. His voice is gorgeous. His looks leave a little bit to be desired though. He would make a good vampire cause he looks like he's been drained of all his blood. #imjustsaying

I'm glad they'll be back for a Christmas Edition of the show. Can't wait. What I really enjoyed on this last show was the performances with the judges. That was so good. I really enjoyed all three of them. Oddly enough I enjoyed the Dartmouth Aires and Ben Folds performance the most. Those Aires I tell ya. Gotta love em. The Sing Off: America Votes - Group Mastermixes

1st was PENTATONIX:

That performance was nice. They totally fused those songs together effortlessly. I really enjoyed it. Especially the little battle between the bass/beat box guys. This group is freaking amazing. That white boy lead singer be singing his ass off. For real. I love them.

*side note: I love that ring Shawn from Boyz to Men had on. I want to get one for my husband.

2nd was URBAN METHOD:

I enjoyed it. Liz's voice was perfect for that song. I really like how they intertwined the songs. Good Job! Good Job! I think that was one of their best performances.

3rd was AFROBLUE:

That performance gave me chills. That was so damn good. I would not think to put those two songs together. Oh my! Good Job Guys. I so love Afroblue. Mariah did a really good job rapping. Wow! Christy's voice is always BUTTA!

4th was DARTHMOUTH AIRES:

They are always good. Always Dramatic. Always Broadway. Always Everything. I love them. I do. I hate to admit it but I do really like them. I would definitely go see them in a Broadway show or performance. I don't want them to win because I feel they have a unfair advantage but GOOD JOB GUYS!!

JUDGES CHOICE ROUND:

PENTATONIX: Never heard of this song but a good perfomance none the less. I love the way they harmonize. Beautiful! They should definitely win. No other group will profit more from this than them I think. I think they will go on to be multi million dollar recording artists.

URBAN METHOD: Katie's voice is so freaking good. I love her. She is so much better than the other two. They did this song serious justice. Freaking HOT! They blew this one out of the water. DAAAAMN!!!

AFROBLUE: That performance brought me to tears. Oh my! I almost wanted to get up and shout.
That was absolutely beautiful. Christy aka Butta she did it again. Ohhh I so love this group. Like Shawn said, they took us to church. Hallelujah a Change is gone come. Yes it will. LOL

DARTHMOUTH AIRES: DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA! Is anybody in that group straight? I think they're all gay. LOLOL I'm just saying...If there is a straight one in the group, I'd be in shock. I don't think they should be a recording group though. But performing in concert. Yes. Broadway. Yes. Theater. Yes.

I didn't get them doing the making them sing a song again thing.

BOOOO! I am pissed off to say the least. They sent Afroblue home and chose Darmouth Aires. They don't have a chance in hell at winning this thing. That was a waste of time. They clearly are NOT a recording group. Not even close. TO HELL WITH SARA AND BEN. WRONG CHOICE! WRONG CHOICE!

Beyonce is a Bad, Bad Girl. This Video almost had me in tears....She has had a wonderful life and career and I wish her nothing but the best in the future.

This is also a Video of her perfoming End of Time. A Song which I love on her newest CD. This girl rocks it out! I know of no one who can dance and still sing and not lose one single solitary breath. I am impressed by her.

Mac Cosmetics

So today a co-worker and I went to visit Mac Cosmetics because they have all these sets on sale for the Holidays. They have makeup brush sets for like $50 and makeup sets ranging from $40 to $60 and they are all really cute. Most didn't have the colors that I liked but the set I bought was $59.50 and it included:

a Clear Makeup Bag, 3 Brushes, 4 Eyeshadows, A LipGlass and a Lipstick.

A Very good Buy. It's called the Fabulously Festive Face Kit. I can't wait to try it. I've never had LipGlass from Mac before and I've heard rave reviews so.....

The Eyeshadow case has a mirror in it and the front is all mirrored and glittery and the ends of the Makeup brushes are also clear and glittery. Cute!!

The guy was somehow able to convince me to buy the cleaner for the brushes so I got that too. He explained why but I don't really remember what he said. It was $13.

I want to go back and get another brush set when I get paid because their brushes are really expensive and it's a much cheaper way to get them in the sets. I also wanted to get the Ms. Piggy Pink Eyeshadow but that's only available online. :-(

While there I sprayed a little bit of their tester spray on me called Turquatic and oh my word, this stuff smells really good. It's 49.50 and it features Anemone, Lotus, Orris and Corsican Blue. LOVE IT!!!!

I have to go back and get that as well. They should have never put a Mac close to me. I'm in trouble now. LOL

Sing off - R&B Week was my absolute favorite so far!!!

VOCAL POINT - I actually REALLY enjoy their performances. Especially of Bobby Brown. I was floored that they did it so well. Seriously.

THE DARTMOUTH AIRES - They are good but their is too many of them for me to really consider them as a contender because I think they have a unfair advantage. They belong on Broadway to me.

URBAN METHOD - They did really good and I was glad the black girl actually sang a Lead for once. About damn time. Get out of your shell boo boo and BLOW!!!

My Weight Loss Journey...AGAIN

So a few short weeks ago I started on the journey to lose weight AGAIN. I am the heaviest I have ever been. I have gained entirely too much weight and it has to go or I already know I will live a very short life.

I started by joining the gym across the street from my job. Go me! Okay joining is one thing but actually going to the gym is another. I signed up to have a Evaluation done by a trainer named Brenna. She is a young little curly haired white girl. Really sweet. I love her. We did my evaluation and Lord Have Mercy am I OUT OF SHAPE!!! She made me feel comfortable enough though to get the evaluation done but when I was done, I was spent. Exhausted beyond belief. I hadn't exercised since the 1900's and my body went in total shock by all the activity it was getting all of a sudden.

She had me doing crunches and I did 20 in a span of 3 minutes which she said was really good but what she didn't know was that after that my stomach said "B*tch I don't know who you think you are but going from O to 100 like that doesn't work for me". My stomach cramped up like hell. I couldn't even move. I had to lay there on the floor like a old lady until my stomach calmed down and I was finally able to pick myself up off the floor. LOL

That was a experience to say the least. It was the beginning of my new journey to lose weight. Fast Forward a couple of weeks later and 10 pounds lighter and I really do feel a change in my body. It's amazing what a difference a couple of days make. After my 1st full session with her my body was so sore but I pushed through it. I give my body a break in between each workout. I workout Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. The weekends for right now I have been taking off to let my body recuperate. I just got back from working with her today and I AM TIRED!!!! So tired I don't even feel like typing anymore. I'll add more to my story later. Til then....

This Weeks Summary of Sing Off

Overall, I didn't enjoy this week too much. Me and Rock Music aren't good friends.

Afro Blue: I thought they were good. I loved the little extra bit they put in there but the judges seem to think it was just okay.

Delilah: Their performance was good. Certain parts sounded like they were in pain to me though.
That lead singer can blow though. WOW! I'm not a huge fan of Rock music so....

Vocal Point: That was just strange to me. Sounded like a joke. Kinda like a bunch of frat boys singing karaoke while drinking a keg. I didn't get it. The ending was good though. Maybe cause it was the end.

Pentatonix: THAT WAS SICK! Pentatonix killed it dammit! They killed it! That song was dabomb.com
The breaks in the song were off da chain, the singing, the whole damn kit and kaboodle. THEY ROCK! Scott the lead singer can sing his ASS off. It's amazing to me that's its only 5 of them.

Urban Method: *YAWN* I was bored by their performance. I blame it on the fact that it's Rock Music Week. Next...

Darthmouth Aires: They did a really good job I think but there is so many of them I think they have a unfair advantage. #imjustsaying I think they need their own Broadway show. Seriously!

The Country Songs:

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of Country either but again Darthmouth Aires did a really good job and they really look like a damn Broadway play when they come out and sing. I always enjoy them. Vocal Point was good. Loved the Bridge. Not a fan of Country so I could have really missed this week. Delilah They have good voices. The song was pretty. That's all I got. LOL Pentatonix HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE COUNTRY SONG PERFORMANCE. Probably because it didn't sound like Country. I loved that they gave it a reggae flair. They are the ones to beat.
Afro Blue WOW!!! I think they and Pentatonix will be the last 2 groups standing. That song was absolutely beautiful. That song almost brought me to tears. AMAZING! Christie and Trent did a beautiful duet. I felt that song. Urban Method did a good job on the Country song. I like them.

I think the bottom two should have been Vocal Point and Delilah though. Til next week!

It was just okay to me. The girls have got to find some confidence from somewhere. I don't know why the black girl didn't sing. But the girl with the dark hair did great to me. The blond girl was just okay. Do better next time yall!! I already know the dude that raps is gonna get a record contract. The rest of them might get lost in the sauce. :-)

Vocal Point - Elvis Medley

They gave me goose bumps with I Can't Help Falling in Love with You. GOOD JOB GUYS!!
Probably because I knew they were singing to their other halfs. I enjoyed their performance though really. It was fun!

Afro Blue - Janet Jackson

They were off da chain, off da wall absolutely incredibly awesome. Loved the transitions, the harmonies, everything. They are so talented. Seriously. That was a good tribute to Janet. I'm sure she would enjoy it.

Darmouth Aires - Queen

They left me absolutely speechless. Eyes watering and the whole nine. Brought tears to my eyes. I felt like I was watching a Broadway Show. Phenomenal! WOW! The best performance so far. (I'm reviewing as I'm watching)

Pentatonix - Brittany Spears

I love this group so I'm not sure they can do too much to not impress me. I love how confident the girl is in their group. Her performance was sexy. I'm not that familiar with Brittany Spears so some of the songs I didn't know. But a Awesome Job as usual.

Delilah - Alicia Keys

Hate to say this but the lead singer in the beginning sounded BETTER than Alicia Keys. (FALLEN) Yeah I said BETTER! Their transitions between songs could have been better but other than that, they did a good job. GIRL POWER!

The YellowJackets - Billy Joel

Yeah don't know too much about Billy Joel so I wasn't that entertained by them. The singing sounded good though. Good Job? I guess so....They should be next for elimination though. Everybody else is too good to be eliminated. (in my opinion)

I freaking love this show....LOVE IT!

The Dartmouth Aires doing Flo-Rida was phenomenal. Honestly I didn't expect them to do too good since they kept saying they didn't do hip hop and that it was completely out of their element but they did a wonderful job. By the end of the song, I was all in. Good Job Guys!!

Afro Blue sang one of my favorite songs of all time. "Killing me Softly"
This group is making me love Jazz and trust me I don't but with them I absolutely do.

The Collective - They did a really good job. Don't really care for them overall but they did well.

Vocal Point - I was so moved by them singing this week in honor of the member who's father passed, I have nothing bad to say in that regard. God Bless them All. May his Father rest in peace.

Urban Method did a good job but for them to be a Hip Hop oriented group, I expected them to do better. The rapper was on point as always but the rest of them could have done better.

Pentatonix they did Love Locked Down by Kanye West....KILLED IT! In my opinion they did a better job that Urban Method even without a rap in the song. AWESOME!!!!! That performance was nothing short of FIERCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

DELILAH OH SWEET DELILAH, YOU DID HOW TO LOVE JUSTICE. GIRL POWER!!!!!

The YellowJackets - It was okay. Seemed rushed and little discombobulated for me but still okay...I guess. The last part was the best part. Jamal's rap at the end was nice!!!

My New Shoes

Good Morning All,

I have been having problems with my feet. I've been to the Podiatrist and he told me that I need to wear wedged heel shoes because the flat shoes I've been wearing are actually hurting my feet. I love, love, love wearing flip flops and sandals in the Spring and Summer and now I will actually have to throw them all away. Some of them I've never even worn.

Well anyway, the other day I ordered me one pair from Zappos called Soft Styles - A Hush Puppy Company. Before I buy anything I always look at the reviews and the Reviews for these were really really good so I ordered them. They came today and I AM IN LOVE!!! It is a wedged heeled boot called Elani. I feel like I'm walking on a cloud. My feet are sooooo comfortable in these. I will definitely keep this company in mind for more shoes in the future.

They are sold out now from Zappo's and I know why. I just wish they had them in different colors because I would have a pair in each color. I have alot more shoes to buy so...Wish me Luck!

I am a singer so I love MOST singing competitions and this one is no different. Sing Off is loverly! I'm watching it for the first time right now and I am hooked!!! The Fannin Family was wonderfully refreshing. All brothers and sisters. Man, they must have had a ball growing up.

The TV show called The Office is really really funny. I haven't watched it in ages but I was talking to my coworker the other day about it and he was saying the new show was hilarious so I had to watch it. The first 4 minutes was pertaining to planking mostly and it was so damn funny.

It’s no secret that Chris Brown is greatly inspired by Michael Jackson. The R&B singer has paid tribute to MJ in more ways than one, and his most recent act honoring the King of Pop came in the form of a mean ‘Thriller’-esque impersonation and dance-off.

On an episode of ‘In the Flow With Affion Crockett,’ host Affion Crockett appeared at the beginning of the show in MJ garb a la ‘Beat It’ and began to dance like Jackson. However, his performance was quickly overshadowed by Chris Brown, who danced onto the set wearing the outfit from the ‘Thriller’ video complete with a black jerry curl wig.

After the crowd began cheering for Brown, Crockett played dumb and acted pretty pissed that the ‘Look at Me Now’ hitmaker stole his spotlight. Brown comically retorted, “I got a voicemail from you saying you wanted me to come here and do this.” The duo then engaged in a ‘Michael-off,’ trading turns at speaking like the singer, replicating his signature crotch-grabbing scream, and, of course, showing off their best MJ moves.

Brown definitely won the battle, but Crockett certainly gave him a run for his money, proving that you don’t have to be Chris Brown to pay a worthy homage to the pop icon.

Seattle is still in the hunt in the AL West title chase, but if they fall out of it, the Mariners should sign this kid up for the rest of this season's home games.

I was supposed to write this entry days ago but never got around to it. My life is so hectic right now sometimes I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I try to stay focused but my mind just wants to wander most times. Anyway....back to the topic.

Emergency Personnel in the DMV. I don't know who gave Sha-nay-nay and dem jobs as Paramedics but recently my husband had a little scare on Memorial Day weekend. He was trying to be Superman and doing too much all on his own to prepare for our Memorial Day Weekend Captain Morgan's House Party/Cookout. (They sent me free stuff) But anyway, he was working, working trying to get the outside together and looking nice for the get together. Well apparently him being out in the hot sun, not eating, not drinking water and drinking alcohol along with getting minimal rest took it's toll on his body and he began to break down.

I had went out to run some errands with my best friend and I got a call from my son saying that he thinks dad is drunk. I said honey if he's drunk, tell him to go lay down somewhere and sleep it off. He said okay and told his father what I said. Now I knew hubby had a drink that morning cause I could tell before I left. I can always tell. So anyway, I'm riding around town, taking my son to get his hair done (Dreds) and picking up a bushel of Crabs and I get another call from my sister in law who says: I think something is really wrong with my brother. I'm like really. I'm like all i know is that he had something to drink so she says her mom is on the way to my house so I said okay. A lil while later another call from her saying that they think he needs to go to the hospital and I'm saying to myself. What? For being drunk? So anyway, I say okay call 911. I'll be there in a minute. I have to go pick up my son.

When I finally get home, my husband cannot speak and I mean literally. He cannot even say my name. When I walked into the room, he just started crying. I was like "what's wrong". He was trying to talk but couldn't. It was heartbreaking to watch. I immediately dialed 911 and just like in the movies....THEY PUT ME ON HOLD! Wanna find out if you are living in the hood...DIAL 911! If they put you on hold. Yo ass is in the hood. I dialed from my house phone and my cell phone and both times these motherpuppies put me on HOLD. HOLD! Hold and I'm calling about a emergency....you have got to be kidding me.

Well anyway, I hung up and no soon as I hung up these fluckers called me back and said "Did you just call 911 and Hang up? O_o I said umm yes I need a ambulance. My husband is having difficulty speaking. She was like what's wrong with him. I'm thinking umm if I knew that why would I be calling you? Anyway, I'm like I don't know. He's had something to drink so I don't know if it's that or what. She asked what did he drink, how much did he drink, was he violent, blah, blah, blah.

So anyway the Police come, 2 officers in blue. Why the Police you ask? Well apparently the lady from 911 assumed that because he had been drinking that he was violent. O_o So she called the Police. Where dey do dat at? Because he drank and had made the statement to my son that he thought his life was over (because he couldn't speak and thought he'd be that way permanently) she called it in as a suicide attempt. O_o Lord have mercy!

Anyway, the police called the paramedics and here comes Sha-nay-nay and her crew. Braids...Long Nails and all. I swear I was in a movie....she comes in and says...What do you want us to do for you? Now chic is lucky I was in worry mode cause she woulda heard a whole bunch of curse words come out of my mouth but I was too concerned about my husband's well being to get into it with this hood rat. Her last statement to me was "Well I'm not doctor but I think he's just intoxicated and needs to sleep it off". I'm like ummm Boo Boo, take my husband to the damn hospital and let the REAL doctors, you know the ones with MD behind their name diagnose him please. I followed the ambulance to the hospital and ran all the lights just like the ambulance did. LOL My husband said he saw me speeding behind the ambulance. I was in the emergency room FOREVER. Anyway, to make a REALLY LONG STORY short, they ended up taking him to the hospital and he's all better now. It was a combination of him being dehydrated and not getting enough rest, food, etc. It really scared him and me! I Thank God that he's alright.

I know one thing that this ordeal taught me is that I NEED TO MOVE. Hood paramedics and being put on hold when I call 911 is not cool. Not cool at all. Next time we have a emergency, I will drive across the county line (which is not even 2 minutes away) and call from Montgomery County. LOL

This sounds silly but let me tell you that I have NEVER felt confident enough in my Twist Outs to wear one outside of the house. Yesterday I did. I came home, it was hot and that damn wig was burning my head up. I took that sucka off and untwisted my hair and wore it out of the house like a brave little girl. It was the best twist out I had seen on my head in a long time and because it was burning up outside, I decided to go out as is.

I have to admit I was nervous. My hair always looks bird nestish and I fear the little baby birds will try to make their home in there. LOL With the help of Komaza Care Coconut Hair Pudding I was able to wear my 1st Twist out in the public around other folk. No one laughed at me, No one stared. I felt proud to rock my natural hair for once.

I said a long time ago that I was wearing the wrong size bra. I knew it from the way my boobs popped out of the top of the bra like muffins sometimes. Or how they seemed to be drooping and not sitting up. LOL Some Ladies I knew made a few recommendations on where to go and I had been putting it off for a while now.

Well finally I went to the Corset Shoppe in Silver Spring called Dor-ne. It's on Georgia Avenue not far from downtown Silver Spring. When you go make sure that you park in the right parking lot or else you WILL get towed. While I was there a lady's car was towed away.

I went in and told them that I wanted to get measured for a bra because I felt I was wearing the wrong size. Well honey let me tell you boy was I in the wrong size. I went from a 48 to a 50 and a DDD to a G. My boobs look so much better now. I feel better. What a difference a good bra makes. I advise all women to go and get yourself measured to make sure that you are wearing the same size.

The ladies are all waiting to help assist you. She measured me, brought me the bras, helped me try them on and fit my boobs into the bras. It was kinda weird having another woman touch my boobs but I got over it. I left there with two new black bras and went home and threw all my old bras away. Who wants to go back to sagging bobbies? Not me.

I will buy more as time goes on and can now order online since I know my size. The brands I bought were Elia and Goddess. Goddess makes my boobs a little more pointy than I'd like but the Elia bra makes em look nice and firm and round. LOL I like that look better. Oh don't forget to tip the lady cause yes they accept tips. I gave her $10.00. That's all she was getting from me.

Not all bras are created equally as I found out because in some bras I could wear a FF and and in others I had to wear a G but all in all it was a good experience and I'm glad I finally did it.
When the lady was measuring me she was like "ohhh you smell so good" Mmmm Hmmm Lunableu it was. She said it was a welcome addition compared to what she normally gets. I said people come in here stinking and she said "honey you have no idea". I mean who does that? YUCK YUCK!

Last month, Beyonce joined forces with First Lady Michelle Obama to promote the national Let’s Move! campaign, which aims to target childhood obesity. The singer offered up a re-worked version of her hit song, ‘Single Ladies,’ in support of the effort.

The result is ‘Move Your Body,’ a remixed Swizz Beatz track with lyrics tailored to suit the ‘Let’s Move! Flash Workout,’ video which will be distributed to junior high school students across the country. “It’s all about promoting the benefits of healthy eating and exercise,” Beyonce explains in the official campaign video. “But what we want to do is make it fun by doing something that we all love to do, and that’s dance.”

The instructional video is broken down into several steps — or missions — to make learning process simple. And in an effort to make the video even more attractive to kids, one of the pre-choreographed steps involves learning a dance to Cali Swag District’s popular ‘Teach Me How to Dougie.’

The Let’s Move! campaign is in partnership with the National Middle School Association and the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation. “I am excited to become part of this effort that addresses a public health crisis,” Beyonce said in a statement last month. “First Lady Michelle Obama deserves credit for tackling this issue directly, and I applaud the NAB Education Foundation for trying to make a positive difference in the lives of our schoolchildren.”

Praise the Lord cause he know what I want and what I wanted was my Lunableu all nicely wrapped and packaged in the mail today and so it came as Tanya had promised. I was so excited. I had a big ole box mainly because I ordered 3 Warmers. I gave one away as housewarming gift to a friend and a few scents that Tanya added that I didn't like to go with it and the rest came home with me.

The scents I gave away were: Caramel Cinnamon Latte, Vanilla Chestnut, Hocus Pocus, Tassi Lavendar and Beach Girl. I didn't like any of those.

The ones I kept were: Blushing Jasmine, Citron Marshmallow Frosting, Zen Tea, Ultimate Vanilla, Cranberry Noel, Toasted Marshmallows, Peche de Vigne, Cocoa Marshmallow, Patchouli Honey, Tiare Blossoms, Confederate Jasmine, Magnolia Acai, Death by Pumpkin, Orange Cranberry, Uninhibited, Cranberry Burst, State Fair Treats, Southern Cape Jasmine, Wood Violet & Maple and Ancient Amber. My 1st Semi Successful Twist Out!

I was so ecstatic when I did a twist out the other night and it actually looked kinda good. I was very impressed. My hair had never ever looked this good in a twist out. Every time I tried one it ended up looking like a damn birds's nest *tweet*tweet* but not this time. I give all the praise to Komaza Care Coconut Hair Pudding. That stuff is the truth.

I washed my hair with Oyin Handmade Honey Wash and conditioned it with Oyin Handmade Hair Dew. LOVE THIS STUFF! This is definitely my staple Shampoo and Conditioner. Afterwards I put the Coconut Hair Pudding on my hair and twisted it all over and slept on a satin pillow. The very next day I took it out and voila, gorgeous twists with minimum frizz. The hair was long with minimum shrinkage. I'm gonna wear my hair like this on the weekends. I'm not brave enough to wear it to work like that yet. I'm still not 100% confident enough for that. LOL But this is how my twists looked when I took them lose.

My biggest problem is knowing how to style it. Although the twists were gorgeous and my hair was nice and shiny but pulling them apart and trying to actually put it into a style that I can feel comfortable rocking in the streets was really hard. I'm afraid of pulling too much for fear of destroying the twist./curl pattern in my hair and making it all frizzy. I still haven't figured out how to pull all this nappturality back into a big poof or ponytail. How in the world do yall get all that thick hair pulled back?

I still need help but I have at least progressed from where I used to be. Thanks Hair & Body Boutique because without you, I would have never discovered this Komaza Care stuff. I'm starting to discover what my hair likes and dislikes. GO ME!

Chris Brown on Dancing with the Stars

One Word: AMAZING!!!!!

You can say what you want about Chris Brown but he is a phenomenal performer. I will go out on a limb and say he will be the next Michael Jackson (performance wise). Don't know if he can write and compose songs like Michael but his performance game is on lock. His performance of Yeah gave me damn goosebumps.

Those who know me know that I DO NOT watch this show but I do however watch select performances the day after and I heard on the radio how good Chris was and had to go find it to watch it this morning. I wish him the best and hope he can get a hold of his issues with anger. I'd hate to see good talent like this go to waste.

??Negativity or Narcissism??

Have you ever known someone that is always a debbie downer? All the time? Just always talking down on others and/or always bigging themselves up. Always trying to say stuff trying just to get a rise out of others or putting themselves out there as if they think they are all the more better than everybody else? Is that a narcissist or just a plain ole negative person?

Being a narcissist has so few inner resources, that they look to others to validate their sense of self and have a need to be seen and heard by a audience to make them feel important. They need to be admired for their beauty, size, body -- attributes that usually fade with time. Unable to achieve satisfaction in the form of love & work, they will find that they have little to sustain them when youth passes them by. Hopelessly self absorbed without remorse and can't see the world from anyone else's perspective. Your grandiose superiority is part of your personality as unrealistic as it may be. What's that saying? "The bigger they are, they harder they fall?" And sooner or later you will have to eat a slice of that good old humble pie. Tearing others down may help you feel better for the time being but in the end only love and not the selfish kind can fix what's going on with you. There is so much value in being humble, if only you could see it. Negativity multiplies when focused on, and that which we focus on becomes greater, clear yourself of the negative thoughts by trying to find something positive in those around you. If the people around you are negative then change the people that you are around. Laugh and be joyous, the best way to rid yourself of negativity is to go into the light Carol Ann. There is peace and serenity in the light. LOL I'm sure you all remember that from Poltergeist but seriously get out of the darkness and into the marvelous light. I like it here in the light, besides in the darkness you can't see my smile. :-) *ting*

How to Deal with Negative People....

Depends. Negativity is pain in the mind which stems from the "guilt" that one "thinks" they have separated from love (God). So if they have pain in the mind for the same reasons you have pain in the mind, then naturally one would have "compassion" for someone in pain. For instance, if you felt pain in your mind, the best response to yourself would be "compassion" not more judgment. Negativity comes from fear, fear is expressed with anger or negativity -- But understanding that the negativity or anger is really fear - we can remember okay, this is fear, and fear is not real, and it is painful to be afraid, so my "awareness" that this is fear - being expressed as anger or negativty is not the truth being expressed, but based on misthought, and thoughts can be corrected. Too judge someone for being "angry" or "negative" is just more "judgment" on top of "judgment.

Also, negativity is a process - It is a lot healthier to admit to one's anger and negativity and be real, then to surprise it, and be a spiritual bliss ninny. If one is fed up with their life and the world, that can be a good thing. Tolle was very negative or filled with judgment and fear in his mind until he could no longer live with it, or himself this way. So to judge him for being where he was at the time is not the answer, but the relinquishment of judgment is. Think of an abandoned young cat in an alley way, it hisses at you and claws at you, because it is afraid, but you are only trying to bring it into the house for some warmth and some milk, but it is very afraid -- it's been abandoned, and had a few run in fights with other cats in the alley, and it needed to protect itself, and you come along, but it does not recognize you as a friend -- it just sees you as one more alley cat trying to hurt it -- so it's defenses are always up for survival. You don't say, "hey cat, you are just too negative, or angry. You understand where the cat is coming from which is fear, so you have "compassion" not judgment. Same with people, they had experieces with their own alley cat brawls in life to keep them alive and surviving, so that's where they are coming from. Unless you've walked in someone else's shoes don't judge. Compassion is always the best mental position to take. Difficult at times, because we always want to hold our position that they are wrong and we are right -- but the issues of who is right and who is wrong is irrelevant - it is the relinquishment of fear and guilt that is relevant, and that is a "shared" experience that can only happen between you and the cat in that moment.

It is difficult to be around people who have very heavy pain bodies and are very angry, and unreasonable and you may need to keep some distance (you don't want your eyes clawed at) , at the same time, you don't judge the person for being in that state of mind, because it is not them. Send them healing prayers, and light., and wish them well. Leave a little milk by the door, and let them be if their claws are still too sharp. Pray for God to heal their minds, because as you are praying for their minds to be healed, you are also praying for your mind to be healed, because they are you at the Christ Mind level, and therefore in their healing is your own, because there is only one mind, and we are not separate in the mind of God, but one mind. We are different in form and express differences in form in many ways, but beyond form and beliefs, and values etc. we are one and the same and share the same thoughts as God.

Vending Machines should have progressed long ago. Not having a dollar or enough to change to get something out of a vending machine is annoying. I really like these new ones. Especially the ones that inform you about the product, that way you know what you are getting before you purchase it. Flix on Stix seems okay but I don't like the idea of it self destructing but at least you don't have to return it. Cool!

They even have a Vending machine out called Zoom Office where you can buy gifts, Ipods, printer cartridges, etc. I really dig Technology.

Today is my 1st Day of Lent

Okay so today is my 1st day of Lent and I am starving. Not just because of Lent but because I am just now getting over a stomach flu and for the past 3 days, I've eaten nothing but bananas, applesauce and crackers and drank Vitamin Water to replace my electrolytes. Can you say HUNGRY????

Yeah cause a sista is hungry dan a mug. Yeah I said it. Hungry dan a mug. LOL My husband is sitting here eating pizza right beside and I swear fo god I wanna buss his head to da white meat. He know damn well he shouldn't be sitting right here eating that. That's like torture. Even if I wasn't doing Lent I wouldn't eat it because I've gone a couple of days eating bland food and I know it would not be good if I went right into greasy, oily, cheesy stuff like pizza. No Way!

I need to go somewhere and pray right now. Guess I'll go get me some crackers or bananas or some applesauce, huh? Well I'm sick of that but I don't have much else here at home to eat. I started to stop at Panera and get me some Chicken Noodle soup but I gave up White foods and I know they have those white noodles in there. UGH! I don't just have chicken broth here at home and I don't feel like going to the store. Living off of just those 3 things I don't have a lot of energy.

What in the world am I gonna eat? I have no idea. But I have to find something and soon. I'm surprised I haven't gotten a headache by now. Yall pray for me. I'm praying too but I need extra. This is only Day 1. Lord help me.

My Review: Haus of Gloi

Yeah I know, I have an obsession with Bath & Body products. So what? I wanna smell good and be clean. Is that such a bad thing? Well anyway, I found this new company called Haus of Gloi and upon first look the company looks kinda gothic but actually they have really good products. Haus of Gloi is a husband and wife team (Matt & Britton) and they make and sell vegan bath & body products.

I am in a email group called DCSG and when they find out about a new bath & body product company, it's on and popping so I haven't told them about this one yet to ensure I received my purchase in a timely manner because once they get wind of it...all hell breaks lose. Turn around times multiply into weeks and even more than a month so I waited until I ordered and received my merchandise before I told them about it.

Anywho, I received my purchase in record time. I ordered on 2/24 and received my merchandise first thing on the 28th. 4 days total. LOVE IT!!! They came wrapped in Black and Tan paper and packed very nicely.

I haven't tried anything yet except for the Body Emulsion called Satyr which smells pretty good. I am really into sweet smells and it smells sweet but it's toned down a bit with the vanilla in it. Satyr is Italian blood orange drizzled with blackened vanilla. I really do like the scent though. Time will tell if the scent lasts all day like Lunableu. It is strong though. I put it on a little while ago and the smell is very prevalant.

I also bought 2 Sugar Exfoliants - one in Troika and the other in Depravity.

Depravity is clove, nutmeg lurk amongst the sweetest offerings of coconut, on a bed of rich golden amber, laden with a dusting of sandalwood and spilled wine.
Troika is a trinity of soft milks, almond, oat and coconut, lashed with sweet agave nectar and the ethereal scent of clean white.

I also bought a soap called Honey Tree. (honey-woods-black vanilla-coconut milk) They’re soaps are cold process, not melt and pour. They’re loaded with a ton of amazing ingredients like coconut milk, olive oil, castor oil, and coconut oil.

They sent me a few samples some I ordered, others I didn't but I will enjoy testing them out. They are as follows:

Litch Milk Tea - “tart Lychee fruit and black tea met with a splash of coconut milk”
Never thought I would like that but it smells really pleasant.

Moon Dog - pure cracked coconut, dry sandalwood essence, heated with nutmeg and clove. ~ A nice scent.

Imp - Peculiar passion fruit mingling with sun cured apricots, perfectly pink grapefruit juice and innocent whispers of wet mimosa blooms. ~ By far my absolute favorite scent!!!

Satyr I described above, it's a decent scent, I'd rather the Orange not be toned down so much with the vanilla.

Honey Tree kinda smells more like a manly scent to me. I will have to try this one on my husband and see how I like it.

Peach Mama - offertory frankincense, styrax, copaiba balsam and ambered labdanum absolute. Warmed with cassia and a barely audible breath of black patchouli. ~ the jury is still out on that one. It's nice but something about it, I don't quite like.

They don't come close to having the variety of Lunableu as far as scents and they don't really pride themselves on sweet smells either (which are some of my favorite) but I must say they do have a high quality product and their customer service and turnaround time is impeccable.

They started out on Etsy but now have their own Haus of Gloi website. I'm excited to try the products out.
They also have whipped soaps, bubbling scrubs and pumpkin butters.

My Lunableu Review 2/22/2011

Oh Me, Oh My!!! I have been waiting for this package since January 4th. Yep. A very long time.
I was patient and waited nicely hoping, wishing, waiting and finally today it arrived. Receiving a package from Lunableu makes me happy. Sounds silly right? Well that's how I feel. I ordered new scents that I have never ever smelled before and I am in love, love, love. *swoon*

What did I order? Well for starters I ordered me 2 more Room Sprays. The other one I ordered worked extremely well so I decided to buy more. The scents are strong and mask, cover up and replace whatever scent you are trying to get rid of. The scents I got this time are:

Lemon Marshmallow & Tropical Orange Kisses. I think Orange and Lemon are very good clean scents so that's why I primarily get those scents in Room Sprays which I use in the bathrooms. Lemon Marshmallow is described as Sweet Fluffy Lemon Marshmallows and Tropical Orange Kisses scent description says it's a wonderful sugary lemon with hints of white musk blended with Mandarin Orange Sherbet. Mmmm. Both nice fresh scents to leave lingering in the bathroom. Love both of those and will buy them again and again.

I also bought Bird of Paradise in the Shea Skin Glow and the Body Mist. It's a fruity blend of strawberries & pomegranates with a base of vanilla to smooth it out and let me tell you this stuff smells wonderful. It's a nice light scent. Not overpowering but good enough to get attention. I think this is gonna be a new favorite for me. I love pomegranate and strawberry and then the vanilla combined is pure heaven. I also got the same things in a scent called Death by Cotton Candy. I like it. I knew I would though when I ordered it. It's pink cotton candy, red candy apples and candied strawberries dipped in vanilla cream. Whew! I think I got a toothache just from the description. LOL

In the Marshmallow Whipped Shea I bought Zino Davidoff Type which I'm not too sure if I'm a fan of yet. I'll have to let my husband put it on and then see. For now that one is still up for debate. Lunableu says it's a best seller and highly recommends it so it's working for somebody. Chergui Sugar though, makes all the women go crazy. Not sure if I wanna give this to my man cause I might have to pull out the machete and cut a....well, never mind. Moving on....Peony White Tea is also another light scent. Very springy and feminine and the same goes for Island Lullaby. Last but not least is Black Pepper. I know that's a strange name for a bath & body product and who wants to walk around smelling like Pepper. Well honey, let me tell you something....this stuff right here....this stuff right here....It's loverly. It doesn't really smell like Pepper but it has a hint of Pepper to it. I can't really make out what the other tones are and I can't find a scent description for it but I like it. I really do. I say give it a try and if you don't like it, you can give it to me. *ting*

I haven't blogged in a minute....Been too much going on in my personal life. Anywho, this week my schedule has changed from 9am to 5:30 pm to 7am to 3:30 pm. I must admit it has been a struggle getting up so damn early in the morning but getting off early is sweeeeet. I haven't been counting points on Weight Watchers, nothing. I am supposed to go weigh in today but I'm not going. Why? Cause I went to the doctor Tuesday and I already know what I weigh and I haven't lost a pound.

With this new schedule, I get hungry really early and it's frustrating. The only thing so far that I have found to curb my appetite is Starbucks Coffee. A White chocolate mocha to be exact. So I had one today for breakfast and I'm not hungry at all. Usually (with my new schedule) I'm ready to eat by 10:30am, waaay before lunchtime. I know I'm supposed to eat snacks but actually eating so much is frustrating. Majority of my snacking was done at night when I'm at home. Having to snack in the daytime and getting fruit/veggies all day long which is what you are supposed to eat on WW as snacks is annoying.

I know, I know suck it up and do it right? Eventually I will but right now i am just not feeling it. Eating that much or shall i say that often is distracting. If or rather when I do it, I will have to prepare my foods ahead of time at home so I can just go in the fridge and pick up a bag of whatever fruit and keep it moving and come back to my desk to eat.

When I went to the doctor this past Tuesday she said my blood pressure was great. The best it's ever been so I was proud of that. She said my cholestoral was slightly higher than she would want it to be so I have to get that down. She said I have to eat low fat foods, no fast foods and no fried foods and lower my beef and pork intake to once a week. The beef will be easy. The pork not so much but I can do it. Once a week isn't really that hard.

Back to the White Chocolate Mocha, that damn drink was 17 freaking points. 17!!!! Whew Lord!!!
I still have 31 points left though for the rest of the day so I can still remain with my points. I guess that's the best thing about Weight Watchers is that you can really have a treat every now and then and still stay on point with the program. I contemplated quitting but I know that's not in my best interest so I will keep on, keeping on. I will get it right this time. I have to. I know if I don't, it will catch up to me. I'm not getting younger, I'm getting older and the older I get the more this weight will affect my health.

Hubby and I talked about Lap Band which I am totally against. Totally! I think there are bigger fish to fry here rather than just weight and until I figure out what that is, weight will still be a problem for me. Food is my special friend. It not only nourishes me but sometimes it relaxes me. Sometimes it calms me down. Crazy right?
Not to me. My father was a alcoholic and so was my mother. They both partied hard when I was young and drank and smoke and god knows what else my father got into but I have that addictive nature within me as well. I swore to God that I would never be a alcoholic and to this day I have kept that promise to myself. I am however addicted to something, it may not be alcohol but it's still not good for me. Pray for me.....

My Favorite Green Tea can be no more....

My Favorite Green Tea of all time is some crap. It has 61 grams of sugar in it. 61 grams??? The sugar content equals that of 4 slices of Cherry Pie. Cherry Pie? Really?? I am so distraught. I really loved this damn drink. And it tastes so refreshing and good for you but it's not. And I mean it's really not. The article said instead to drink Honest Tea Green Dragon Tea which has 16 grams of sugar.

I am really pissy about this. For real. Why? Because I could have eat 4 slices of pie instead of drinking what I thought to be something good for me, which I obviously see now is not. UGH! I hate food manufacturers. Are they trying to kill us? I mean I think they are. They want us all dead and/or sick. I really got be a reading food label whore. I mean and be real serious about it because here I am thinking I'm doing something good and I might as well be sitting down engorging on a whole damn Cherry Pie like some greedy yuck mouth monster.

I mean who would have ever thought a damn bottle of green tea would equal that of a damn Cherry Pie?Okay, I'm done.

My First Weigh In at Weight Watchers

I actually joined Weight Watchers online on Monday 1/10/11 but I wasn't able to attend a actual meeting until today 1/13/11. I weighed in and purchased my Member Kit which was on sale for $39.95. It includes everything you need and it also came with a free Points Plus Calculator, which I am very happy about. The Points Plus calculator also was on sale by it self for $5.95 which is regularly $15.95.

The Member Kit comes with a Dining Out Companion, A Complete Food Companion and a 3 Month Tracking Journal and it comes in a really neat Binder to keep all your items in as well. Last time I had joined WW the place where I went to the meetings never had member kits so I've never been able to have one until now.

Because I am a HUGE meat eater, I wanted to also purchase a food scale so that I am able to make sure I am eating the right amount of meats cause I tend to eat more meat than vegetables all the time. With the food scale, I can't go wrong and it calculates the points out for you as well.

I actually weighed more than I thought when I went in so that was a minus cause I have more to lose but a plus cause it gave me more points. She said as I lose weight my points will decrease. I have a short term goal of 6 pounds so Here we go!!! Let's see what the next week will bring. Wish me Luck!!!!

My New Year Hair Do!

Hello All! I went to North Carolina for vacation and I got my hair done by Best Friend. Decided to get all black this time for the New Year. I'm wearing mostly black, grey and brown until I lose weight so I figured I'd get my hair to match. LOL Hope you like it. My husband really does. I like the fact that I just wet it and apply a few products and keep it moving in the mornings.

I need to start buying my hair online though because in the beauty supply stores it is waaay overpriced.
This hair was $39.99 a pack. The hair I wanted was $80 a pack but I just couldn't see spending that much even though the weave was Free. LOL I found the $80 weave online for $40 after the fact so that's how I will be purchasing my hair from now on. I don't know how long this will last because once the hair starts to tangle and itch me like crazy, it has to go. I will try to keep it in for at least a month though. So we'll see.

I have the Mac Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj Lipstick but I covered with a slightly darker Pink LipGloss because the Nicki Minaj pink is too too pink. It'll make you look like a damn clown if you just wear that alone. You either have to put it on lightly or wear something on top to bring it down a bit but I like it though.

This man has really outdone himself with his newest CD entitled Now or Never. This CD is sexy as hell. I listened to it last night while I was going to sleep and he put me out. You hear me. Tank knocked me out with his music. I think he got me pregnant last night cause this music is sexy, erotic and just down right orgasmic.

Song after song has a really nice beat. It's what people like to call grown folk music. One of my favorite songs was the 1st song released off the CD called "Emergency". I heard this for the 1st time of Steve Harvey's radio show and i was in love after the 1st time I heard it. I have to say this and this is really hard for me to even admit but Tank is giving my baby Tyrese a run for his money vocal wise. This mans voice is amaaaazing. I already know Tyrese could get it but Tank, oh yeah if he sang, he could get it too. TMI! Yeah I know but I'm just saying. That voice will make your panties fall off. LOLOLOL

I won't really call them resolutions, just improvements. I'm sure there is something that we all can do better on. A friend of mine talked about this in her blog and it made me think. Review: LaLicious Bath & Body

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a few products from Lalicious when they had them on sale. Lalicious is a all natural bath and body line. I've heard from a friend that the products are really good and I wanted to give it a try. I'm just now trying them out for the first time. I used the Sugar Kiss Body Scrub & Body Butter and it is really nice. A very nice light feminine scent. After washing, I used the Sugar Kiss Body Scrub and rinsed it off with warm water. Instantly in moisturized my skin. After getting out of the shower, I used the Sugar Kiss Body Butter on my already moisturized skin and it just sealed the deal. Left my skin feeling very soft and silky. I really like these products.

My only problem with them is the price. A jar of Body Scrub is $34.00 and the Body Butter is $25.00. As much as I like this stuff, I doubt seriously if I will ever purchase it again (unless I hit the lottery) LOL This is just too much to pay for bath & body products (to me). I really do like the way my skin feels and smells. It's a very light scent, not overbearing at all but enough to make you feel and smell oh so fresh and oh so clean. I cannot say enough how much I like the scent, It's an amazing combination of Vanilla, Citrus & Rose. If you can afford it, I say give it a try. You definitely won't be disappointed.

*Honestly, after using the Body Scrub, you don't even need to use the Body Butter because the Body Scrub alone leaves your skin silky soft and moisturized. :-)

Today has been a Rough Day

I am so damn tired, it's not funny. I am overworked, underpaid, stressed out and overweight. UGH!
Today has been the longest day in history it feels like. I had a half of a grapefruit for breakfast and didn't eat again until 2:30 pm. By then I had a damn splitting headache and just wanted to go home.

I ordered Lunch from Armands Pizza and they took fordamnever to bring us our food. We ordered our food at 12:30 and he didn't get his behind here until 2:30. 2 whole hours later. By then I was angry. 3 of us ordered together in the office so we were all fired up by the time he got here. Do you know this fool had the nerve to ask for a tip? A TIP? Yes! You heard right, this fool walked in here and asked for a freaking tip after coming 2 hours later after we ordered. 2 HOURS???? Is he crazy? The restaurant had already given us 50% off to compensate for the time lapse which he knew about so what made him think we were gonna give him a tip? I signed the receipt and he said, no tip? I said nope. I was too angry to say anything else because I would have cussed him out something terrible. The other lady who ordered with us was pissed and she said "here's the tip, have better customer service and get our food here on time". I wanted to bust out laughing. LOLOLOL Poor thing left with nada, zilch, zero.

That gave me a laugh for today. I had a visitor come to my job to pick up something from me and she brought me cupcakes. Mmmm Mmm Good. I haven't tried em yet because I had a big lunch but I will eat them before the night is over. One if fudge, the other Funfetti and the third is Strawberry. Deeeelicious. Sugar always makes me happy. It is my weakness.

Well it's 4:37 pm and almost time to go home and I am sooo ready to get the heck up outta here. For real.
I just wanna take a extended vacation somewhere tropical and just relax for like a month. Is that too much to ask? Whew!!! Christmas vacation is coming soon so I'll just be happy for that. Later!

Review for Soul Purpose Products

This is my 1st time trying Soul Purpose. I've been wanting to try them for a quite a while and finally I was able to courtesy of Crystal of Soul Purpose. I had signed up to be a distributor when she first came out with this company because she previously owned Warm Spirit which I adored but I never followed through with it.

The products that I tried were as follows:

Malaysian Mango 10 oz. Candle
Hollywood Fresh Shea Butter Balm
Pomegranate Mango Shea Butter Balm
and
Brazilian Jackfruit Body Custard

First of all, Let me start by saying that all of these products smell really good. Very nice scents, not too strong and not too soft. Just right. My favorite hands down would be the 10 oz. Candle Tin.

The Malaysian Mango Candle Tin is a very, very nice scent. Problem is when you are burning the candle the scent throw is very mild. If I was close to the candle I could smell it but it didn't permeate throughout my room like the candles that I normally use do. But despite that, once it burns and the wax melts down a bit, you can use the 100% soy wax as a nice massage oil. It is divine. Reminds me of the Warm Spirit candles that I used to use when they were in business that doubled as a lotion. I would recommend them and use them for that purpose but as a candle to scent my home I wouldn't because the scent throw isn't strong enough for that.

The Brazilian Jackfruit Body Custard I used right when I received it that night and it was cold fresh out the box so it was hard. I'm sure given time to get to room temperature it would be much easier to work with. It smells good though. It's a different scent, has orange type scents in it. The official description is:

BRAZILIAN JACKFRUIT
South American rainforests; indigenous tribes, Portuguese/African culture and cuisine and Carnival. Fruity floral fragrance combines top notes of mandarin orange blended with apple, exotic fruit and soft floral notes.

The (2) Shea Butter Balms that I got were very good scents as well. I used them mostly on my hands and arms as I only had a sample size of them and didn't have much to be able to use elsewhere but they were both very nice scents as well and very moisturizing to my skin. Out of the Butter Balms and the Body Custard my favorite scent was the Pomegranate Mango. I would definitely purchase that scent in a bigger size so that I can experience it better.

Monday Morning

That is exactly how I feel this morning. Today is Monday Morning and I wish I had another day off.

I woke up late this morning and just stayed in bed for a few because I really didn't feel like going to work. I am grateful to have a job, yes but at the same time. I would love to have some time off. Guess I really shouldn't complain because I will be taking some time off next month. (December) for like about 2 weeks. I will be off with my kids and my husband. I will throughly enjoy that time off although I know it will fly by.

I'm sleep too which makes things worse. I just feel exhausted this morning. Kinda frustrated with a few things that are going on in my life. I really need to make a change. Physically, Spritually and Mentally. My mind is tired and so is my body and my spirit. I need a renewal. My kids are growing up and getting into foolishness. I have to keep them in prayer. Lord knows I do.

Our finances aren't what they used to be. Times are hard. Everything is inflating and pays are either staying the same or going up in a very minimal way. I am just really ready to live a more simple life. I'm tired of the bills and I have NO credit card bills but the house bills alone and just living life daily is out of control.

For those of you who know the word of prayer, please pray for me and my family as I am really in need of a awakening. Down deep in my soul. Hope my week gets better. I wanna just go back home and crawl back into my bed.

My Au'Naturale by MzSixx Stash

I am a Proud Product Junkie but I am only a junkie in certain things and one of them is the products by MzSixx of Au'Naturale. I have purchased many products from her and I will continue to purchase her products because they are good quality items.

When I find something I love, I support it whole heartedly and I love, love, love Au'Naturale by MzSixx.
I looked at all of my stuff that I have accumalated and I had to take a picture to let you see how much of a product junkie I am. Recently I found out that she was mixing new stuff to add to her collection and I just had to have it. I store most of my items from her in my closet where its dark since they are all made with natural or essential oils, etc. This is a picture of my Stash. LOL

Some of my favorite items are the Orange Marmalade Hair & Body Butter. This stuff is multipurpose to the 10th power. You can use it for your hair, hands, feet, body, etc. It smells lovely and it is sooo moisturizing for both my hair and my body. I love this stuff! If I had to rate it out of 1 to 5 stars. It would get hands down a 5 star rating.

One of my other favorite items is the Passionfruit Body Scrub. Talk about smelling good. This stuff smells so good, you may want to eat it. LOL I also love the Orange Tangerine Cuticle Oil. I tend to get alot of hang nails and I just put a little drop of the oil on my cuticles and massage it into each finger and it helps with my cuticles and my hang nails. Do you know what causes hang nails? It's dry skin. The oil is very moisturizing and aids in getting rid of hangnails and helping your cuticles.

One of her newest products that I love is the Peppermint Clove Scalp Oil. It is a combo of grapeseed oil, extra virgin Olive Oil, castor Oil, clove Oil, lavender oil, and Vitamin E masterfully blended with essential oils to soothe dry scalp while adding shine and softness providing hydration for styling and healthy hair growth. (Specially formulated for children’s hair and those suffering from dry scalp)

I am missing at least 1 item of my stash in the picture above because I keep that item in the refrigerator.

I heard this brother on the radio this morning and I can't get his voice out of my head. His speaking voice is nice too but I'm talking about his singing voice. It is orgasmic. LOL I love to hear him sing. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

My Butterfly Kisses Bath Order

I ordered Euphoria Mango Shea Body Butter, Daisy Cranberry Shea Body Butter and I got D&G Light Blue Acai Berry/Cranberry/Pomegranate Shea Body Butter. In the All Over Body Lotions I got:

Sex on the Beach - this scent is has a tropical feel. Love it! One of my faves.
Pink Grapefruit - It has a really nice fruity smell. It's a light airy scent.
Grape Soda - It's a fun scent. Sweet and smells just like grape soda.
Cotton Candy - this scent didn't really smell like Cotton Candy to me but it's kinda of a sweet scent. I doubt if I'd order that scent again though. It's not what I thought it would smell like.
Buttercream - smells like cake with buttercream icing.

I also got the Perfume Roll On in Marc Jacob Daisy and Euphoria, Euphoria is gonna be one of my favorites as well. Smells so good. A nice flower type female scent. Daisy is very light, almost too light for my tastes but it smells good. More like a teenager scent, I think though.

And I ordered the Lip Balm. This stuff feels so soothing to my lips. In the winter my lips tend to get really dry and this instantly helped to moisturize them. It has coconut oil, beeswax, organic shea butter, organice cocoa butter and Vitamin E in it. Definitely a MUST HAVE in the winter.

Hello All,

I went to take my Aunt back to Lord & Taylor today and I ran across this gorgeous pink Juicy Couture bag. It was calling to me. Raycal it said, buy me, take me home...Please! LOL So I did and all is good with the world. I deserve it. I work hard everyday, I just got a raise and I wanted it so I bought it.

I think this is beginning of a beautiful nightmare this newfound relationship I have with Lord & Taylor. LOL
I will go back again. And again and most certainly again. The store was a bit more crowded this time than the last but a pleasant experience still nonetheless. I'm so happy about my purchase. I got the handbag and the matching wallet which the sales lady made sure to bring to my attention and I just had to have it. *le sigh*

Lunableu Review - Again

I FINALLY received my order at work today on 11/12/2010 that I placed with Lunableu on 10/13/2010, 29 days later. Whew! That was a hell of a wait. I can't even lie and say I wasn't impatient because I was. After almost 30 days my patience had worn out. Anyway....

Upon opening my box I discovered the Warmer that I received was B-R-O-K-E-N :-(

I was so distraught. I waited all this time for my precious and she comes all broken up. SMH!

Well I told Tanya about it and she is gonna send me a replacement. I just pray that it doesn't take another 30 days to get that one. :-)

When I was young that's where I bought all my colognes from and I totally fell in love with this scent. My husband who was then my boyfriend used to love me wearing this scent. When I brought it home and let him smell it, he instantly knew what it was. He said that's the stuff you used to wear back in the day. I said yep. He started smiling. Who knew a scent could bring a man such joy and put a smile on his face. LOL I DID. That's why I ordered it.

I'm not sure how Tanya @ Lunableu gets or does these dupes but they are amazing and identical to the real thing. What I ordered for Hubby was almost ruined because the perfume scent that I ordered in the Italian glass bottle somehow spilled and got all over my hands and the packaging it was in. I ended up going ahead and giving it to hubbie now since there was no way I could wrap that. I had ordered him the Lotion, the Body Frosting and the Shea Skin Glow all in the same scent. Issey Miyake. That stuff makes you wanna jump a mans bones...you hear me. LOL I love my man to smell good and this will do just that. Make him smell like a million bucks.

She also included a EDP Roll on of Hearts & Daggers.

I can say this when Tanya feels like she needs to compensate for something she didn't do correctly, she does it without hesitation. She gave me several items for FREE. No matter how mad and frustrated I was at not receiving my package in a timely manner. I will most definitely be ordering from Lunableu again and again. The quality of her products and her customer service is like none I have ever seen. She will do what she can to keep her customers happy, that's for sure. I once received a entire order incorrectly and she let me keep that entire order plus gave me the whole new set of scents that I did order. I got to keep both of them and that's how I discovered one of my now favorite scents: "Coral Sugar". That scent was in the order that I didn't order. LOL

Fantasia is Beautiful and She's Still here!!!!

This post is about my girl Fantasia Barrino. I love me some Tasia. Anybody who knows me, knows that.

People made fun of her because she couldn't read. People talk about her and this alleged affair with the married man. People say she needs to keep her shoes on while she's performing. People say "why does she scream and yell all the time". People say what people say and that's fine. We are all entitled to our opinions.

When I see Fantasia and listen to her sing...I hear the voice of an angel. I hear the gift that God has bestowed upon her. I feel the anointing that was placed in her life. I feel the spirit that she has inside of her. I feel the emotion that she puts into each and every song she sings.

She had a show in Baltimore this past Sunday and I was unable to go and see her. It really upset me. I really wanted to go. This video shows her peforming "I'm Still Here" from The Color Purple which she was in on Broadway. It brought me to tears and it did the same to her. This girl puts all that she is into a song and I love her for that. I don't care what nobody says bout my Tasia.

Almost ran out of Gas!

So today I was on my way to drop my son off to school and realized that I had less than a quarter tank of gas in my car. I started to panic. I'm like oh lord, why didn't I realize this earlier. I could have had my husband get my gas last night. I dropped my son off at school and began on my way to work but the needle was almost on E.

I didn't know what to do.Worried, I called my husband and told him and he told me to go the nearest gas station and call him back and he would walk me through it. Now some of you may laugh (and I really don't care) but yes, I DO NOT pump my own gas. It's not really that I don't know how. I just I don't like it. It frightens me. Call me a brat, call me spoiled...whatever. I have pumped gas like twice before when I had no other choice but to do so but I didn't like it and was half scared to death.

My husband always does it for me so today, I'm in Chevy Chase and he's all the way in Gaithersburg and there is no way he can come to my rescue. My husband remembering the area said well honey, you are in Chevy Chase, just pull up to one of those gas stations and someone will help you and I did just that. I pulled up to the Westbard Citgo in Bethesda, MD and out came the attendant and said ma'am, do you need help? Yes I said in relief. I gave him my credit card and he pumped my gas and cleaned my windows.

I breathed a big sigh of relief. My problem was solved. I told him to put in $20.00 worth of gas and he did. A big grin came over my face. I could breathe again. I had over a half of a tank now. I pulled out of the gas station with a big cheesy kool aid grin. So glad that I was in Chevy Chase where they are much more helpful than say in Laurel, MD.

I have to overcome my dislike and fear of pumping gas. I really do. But until then, hubby will keep on spoiling me and I love it. I'm not a Jersey Girl but this North Carolina girl don't pump gas either. LOL

My New HairDo!

Okay so those of you (if there are any) that read my Blog know that I have been complaining, complaining about my natural hair so I went to North Carolina this weekend and got my Best Friend to do my hair so I don't have to worry about it for a little while and this is what I got....

Ummm Hmnm, Red Hair. I love the color. It's not too bright and not so dark that you barely notice it. I like the tones in it, it's like a Red and a Rust color. See the little streaks in it that are lighter than the rest of the hair? I don't know how long this will last but I'll give me a little break at least. I wrap it up at night and I barely have to curl it the next morning. I love it.

This hair is called a Duby! It's one of my favorites. It comes cut in layers so there isn't much you really need to do to it except curl the ends slightly. Let me know what you think. Too Red, Not me, Not cute at all. Just wondering...

I could never dye my hair this color so Weave is a good way to dye your hair WITHOUT dying it.
To me dying dries out your hair and I need all the moisture I can get. Maybe by the time I take this out my hair will grow enough for me to be able to do a descent twist out. We'll see.....

Things Women Should STOP doing...

On my way in to work this morning, I was listening to the Big Tiger Morning Show on WPGC 95.5 and on there they were talking about things women should stop doing. I didn't hear all of them because I had to get out of the car and come into the building but some of the ones that Men said Women should STOP doing that I heard were:

Stop wearing so much Makeup.
What do you ladies think about that one? I have never been a HUGE makeup wearer but I know women who won't be seen without it. One guy said women should wear little to no makeup but I think some women NEED makeup to feel better about themselves. Especially if you have blemishes or whatever on your face, Makeup can be your friend. My question is: Are you wearing your makeup for you or for him? I hate to have makeup caked on my face. I only like a nice powder foundation, mascara, eye liner and lip gloss. That's it.
I don't do blush! I think blush was one of the dumbest things ever created. Why do I wanna look like Santa Claus with Rosy cheeks? HO HO HO! I used to think Eyeshadow was just too much work but I think there are occasions were Eyeshadow really does look good especially if you know what you're doing. I'm not into blues and greens and yellows. I like the more natural looking tones. Too much eyeshadow makes some women look like damn clowns. Clowns I tell ya.

I see alot of people wear their eyeshadow like this pictured below and I just wanna take a wet nap and go across their eyelids hard and wipe that shiggidy off of their faces. You think that's cute really?

This also included Drawn on Eyebrows. If you are gonna draw your Eyebrows on your face, at least make em look natural. These looks below are frightening. STOP LOOKING LIKE YOUR SURPRISED. IT AIN'T CUTE!!!

And it includes Black Lip Liner or really dark Lip Liner. It's distracting. It makes me wanna color in the lines.

No Ma'am. They have nappy weaves and straight weaves. Find the one that matches your hair texture. Or straighten your hair to match the silky weave you're buying. Or wear a full head of weave or a whole wig...something.

Stop wearing clothes that aren't your size

Umm Hmm, YOU I'm talking to you. You know who you are. The women who have actually gone a size or two up cause you've gained 10, 20, 30 pounds and don't wanna admit it so you squeeze your behind into a Size 8 knowing full well you have graduated into the Size 10/12 OR 14/16.

If your buttons are not properly aligned, your shirt is too tight! If you have gathers in your shirt where your buttons are, your shirt is too tight! Ya hear? Take that damn shirt off before you hurt somebody when that button pops off and hits somebody in the eye.

I mean if you gained weight go out and buy a shirt in your new size. Embrace it! If you don't like the fact that you gained weight then lose it but don't wear clothing that you don't belong in anymore. Please? I beg of you.

Stop calling all men DOGS!
How do you expect to get a man if you've already rendered all of them no good. And if you REALLY think they are all NO GOOD. Why do you want one anyway? Switch teams, Try a different race. Stay single. I don't know but stop dogging out all men and then trying hard to find one of your own. That's like saying I wanna lose weight all while sitting down and eating a whole Sheet cake by your damn self. I mean do you really want what your asking for if you're doing everything in your power to sabotage it? In the Bible it says so as a man thinketh, so is he. So if you keep thinking like that, what else do you expect to attract?. RUFF RUFF!!

I'm sure there were plenty more but I missed em. These were just some of the things Men said Women should STOP doing. I'm sure if I heard more I would have disagreed with some but these I DO agree with 100%.
I missed yesterday's show where they talked about things Women said Men should stop doing but I can do a blog on that myself just from my own experience. LOL Lata!!

My Natural Hair Woes

Can I just say I hate everybody?

All of the Natural Hair Blogs, The YouTubers and the rest of em. I braided my damn hair and I took it out and it looks a raggedy, frizzy, mess.

Natural Hair ain't for everybody and it must not be for me. I put oil on my hands like I was told. I minimized my product use, I kept it braided up for almost a week and it still ain't right.

I have been bamboozled and led astray. My hair won't do right to save it's life. I've tried again and again and again.

I give up. I'm sick and tired of my wig, you hear me. Me and her must part. TODAY!

Right the hell now. I cannot go back to the relaxer because I know my hair is much better off now than it has ever been but all this twist out/braid out mess is for the birds. It ain't working.

I know going natural is the best thing for my hair but every since I've started I haven't been able to do nothing with my hair. Guess I'll go back to straightening it with the MaxiGlide.

If I could afford the $75 it takes to get my hair done at the Beauty Salon I'd be fine but that is waaay too much.

Lord Help Me! I don't want a relaxer but something has to give. It really irks me when I look at the YouTube Videos of these chics with damn near perfect natural hair and telling what to do to make mine look like theirs and I do it and voila....nothing. I get a raggedy frizzy mess on top of my head. I ALWAYS END UP WITH A BIRD'S NEST.

I'm over it and done. NEXT!

Question: What did we used to do late at night before Facebook & Yahoogroups?

I find myself late at night if I can't sleep getting on Facebook and Yahoogroups and there are always people there to talk to and not just in different time zones but in the same exact time zone and they are up, just like me on Facebook and/or Yahoogroups.

What did we used to do when we were up in the middle of the night? Just Watch TV?

I remember back when I had a bout with Insomnia and I was up at 3 am every single night for like 2 or 3 weeks and lo and behold, someone else was up too. LOL

I think the internet has screwed us up because now most of us are irritated by a phone call. LOL It's like why didn't you just text me that? I can admit that the sound of my house phone ringing irritates me. I'm like who the hell is calling me on a damn landline phone. Who does that? Bill collectors do, that's who. And Moms and Aunts in their 70's, that's who. And Telemarketers and Political calls. UGH!

I barely talk to people on the phone anymore except for the elders in my family. Are we becoming less sociable because of texting, the internet and the like? Just something I was thinking about.....

I came across this company called Lace by Tanaya the other night because of a contest that Global Grind was having to win a pair of Nicki Minaj's earrings and she has on a pair in one of her videos. I sent the info to a Barbie that I know so she can text to win them.

Meanwhile I went on the website to check them out and her earrings are gorgeous. They remind me of that singer back in the day named Jane Child who sung "Don't Wanna Fall in Love" except the earrings don't go from the nose to the ear, it goes from ear to ear and drops down in the front like a necklace. She has different styles.

I can't wait to purchase me a set. Don't know what I'm gonna wear it with but I want it anyway. Do I really need a real reason to purchase another piece of jewelry? I think not! LOL Worried about them snagging and ripping your earlobe in two? No worries!!
